Past Exhibitions — July 2008

Project Creo: Faux Fiber

an image from the show

The root of fiber art is based on artists using traditional materials and techniques in unconventional ways. For this exhibition, the Arts Center is looking for artists who create work that reverses this dialogue. Artists are encouraged to use materials such as steel, wood and glass to simulate fiber or fiber to simulate other media resulting in a trompe l'oeil that is engaging and refreshing.

Project 02: Youth Arts Corps Exhibition

The Youth Arts Corps, a program of Family Resources, Inc., offers four free after-school arts education and job training programs for youth. Works on display are from the teen job training programs where youth ages 10 - 17 have the opportunity to earn stipends while they apprentice with professional visual, performing, literary and media artists. Project 02 features works in clay, mixed media, photography, charcoal, ink, video, automata and metal.

Let's Create! Summer Camp Exhibition

This exhibition features work from students in the Center's 10-week summer camp program in a variety of media from digital to photography to clay to painting to collage.
