Glorious Glass: Translucent and Opaque

A comprehensive glass exhibition featuring contemporary glass works by Seattle-area artists, including Dale Chihuly, Lino Tagliapietra, William Morris, Benjamin Moore, Debora Moore, Paul Marioni, Ginny Ruffner, Hiroshi Yamano, Martin Blank, Richard Royal and many more.

The exhibit will be curated by Seattle art advisor Margery Aronson, who is a major proponent of Northwest art, especially glass. Aronson is a member of the Association of Professional Art Advisors and an independent curator who has lived in Seattle since 1976. Currently she is curator for The Pilchuck Glass Collection in downtown Seattle, as well as the collection at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Towers. Since 1996, she has been the curator of the contemporary glass exhibition at Seattle Tacoma International Airport. She writes frequently about contemporary glass, and she often leads tours and lectures on the art and artists of the Pacific Northwest.


Stargazing: The Arts Center's Annual Holiday Exhibition

This festive invitational exhibition features works in all media by artists who have shown at the Arts Center over the past several years. Includes glass by Chuck Boux and Duncan McClellan, paintings by James Michaels and Betsy Orbe Lester, sculpture by Robert Giordano, Nancy Cervenka and Kyu Yamamoto, and ceramics by Russ Gustafson-Hilton. Cards, ornaments, and more will be featured in our gallery shop.


Herb Snitzer: The First Five Years, the Last Five Years
1958-1963/2003-2008

Recognized nationally and living locally, Herb Snitzer has been creating dynamic black and white photographs for the past 50 years. From 1957 when he graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art, he moved to New York City where he quickly established himself as one of the top young photojournalists.

He worked for Life, Look, The Saturday Evening Post, Fortune, Time and other national magazines as well as for the New York Times and Herald Tribune. This exhibition features photographs from his first five years of shooting, as well as his most recent body of work.

Odysseys and Expeditions

Works by Pinellas County Elementary school students is displayed in this exhibit. This season, students are asked to create an image and a written piece based on a journey they have taken, whether to a real or an imagined place, a personal quest, or mission that they will undertake in the future.
