A Progressive Adventure - Distinguished Dining and Captivating CollectionsWHAT: The Arts Center St. Petersburg's 4th Annual Progressive Dinner WHEN: Saturday, March 5, 2005 6:30 p.m. WHERE: The Arts Center St. Petersburg 719 Central Ave. - St. Petersburg, FL 33701 and various homes throughout the area The Arts Center, St. Petersburg hosts its signature fundraising event....an evening of fine art, fine dining and scintillating conversation, all while enjoying the hospitality of five gracious hosts in their art-filled homes. Start your evening with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at The Arts Center and enjoy a private tour, led by Curator Amanda Cooper, of The Arts Center's London Now: are you in love yet? exhibition, and a raku demonstration by local artist Don Williams. At 7:15 p.m., luxurious tour buses will transport attendees to one of four host homes for a tour of their private art collections and a gourmet dinner catered by Chef Paul of Mattison's American Bistro. The Old Southeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg has quietly gained a reputation as a haven for local artists and collectors, and we're offering a peek into this creative corner of the city. Enjoy exploring this hidden enclave of hospitality and artistry, as we visit some of the city's most eclectic homes and art collections, flanked by waterfront vistas and winding, tree-lined streets. After dinner, guests will be taken to each home to view their art collections and enjoy an evening of lively conversation in some of the area's most inviting homes. After dinner, all guests gather at one of St. Petersburg's most storied residences, the magnificent Rutland Estate, home of Michele and Phil Farley, to meet, mingle, and sample a fabulous flambé dessert buffet and after-dinner cordials.
