Art & Writing Exhibition
Theme: “On My Block”
Is there a part of your block that you especially love to explore? A place in your house that holds a special memory? Based on the book, On My Block: Stories and Paintings by Fifteen Artists, Edited by Dana Goldberg, this year’s exhibition is a celebration of community, an homage to neighborhoods everywhere, and an exploration of past and present. What’s on your block or down your street that makes up who you are?
NEW: This year we are excited to announce the addition of a multi-media component for all grade levels. We are encouraging students to submit digital video entries along with the usual 2-and 3-dimensional artwork. The selected entries will be looped on a monitor in the gallery space.
