Class size is 8 people maximum, work stations set up for social distancing, and masks required

From square tiles, to shadow boxes, to mounted heads, and floating ladders, this course will challenge the perception that ceramic work is made to sit on pedestals. Working along Artist in Residence, Karina Mago, we will explore making our wall sculptures through a series of hand-building techniques such as pinching, slab, and coil building as well as different hanging techniques and mechanisms. By the end of the class, students will have the knowledge and confidence to build complex forms that are meant to hang on the wall and stay there! Students of all experience levels are welcome.
