In this hands-on workshop, Jon Green will teach you how to create custom stamps and use
them to add unique textures to your pottery. Whether you’re working with slabs, soft clay, or
wheel-thrown pieces, you’ll learn how to design and apply stamps to enhance your work. Jon
will guide you through making rolling stamps, floral cutouts, and a personalized chop stamp for
signing your pieces. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with several stamped textures and the
skills to create your own stamps for future projects.

The workshop is divided into two parts: in the morning, you’ll watch demos and then focus on
making your own stamps, and you’ll learn how to apply these stamps to both slab-built and
wheel-thrown pieces. The afternoon will be extended studio time with an hour-long lunch break
around noon.
