Discover the art of ballroom dance in this fun beginner class series. Over 6 sessions you’ll be introduced to 6 classic ballroom dances – Foxtrot, Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Tango, Cha Cha – while learning to express yourself on the dance floor, your way. Learn to lead or follow turns, change direction, maintain frame, and so much more!
Great for people with no dance experience. No partner required.
Masks preferred. The instructor will be wearing an N95.
Wear whatever is comfortable and easy to move in (long skirts, dresses, and pants that touch the floor are not recommended). Closed toe dress shoes are best.

Emily Henderson is a certified ballroom dance instructor with a passion for nurturing beginner students on their journey with dance. Born and raised in London, England, she studied International Standard and Latin ballroom dance throughout childhood before moving to San Francisco to study American Ballroom. She taught and competed nationally for 10 years before retiring from professional competition due to injury.
Emily also holds a Graduate Certificate in Arts in Medicine from the University of Florida, and has received teacher training from the Dance for Parkinson’s Disease program facilitated by the Mark Morris Dance Group in Brooklyn, NY.
