Expressive Interpretation of the Figure
with Rebecca Skelton
Tuesdays, 6 classes
6:30pm-9:30pm
Skill Level: All Levels
Studio: Room 101
Offered for:
Deliberately explore the figure as a means of expression. Use different media for different effects. Each week we will explore communicating emotions differently. Use sensitive materials such as color on colored paper to convey delicate emotions or show strong emotions by using harsh handling of blunt materials. Collage and Surrealist techniques may help discover inner reactions to pose and composition. Project emotions onto the model as well as try to read and interpret emotional signals from the pose. Students of all levels welcome, but figure drawing experience is helpful.
