Repurposed: Exploring Collage Art Workshop with Jayde Archbold

Create a one-of-a-kind collage with Fresh Squeezed 8, 2024 Artist Jayde Archbold! In this workshop Jayde will teach basic collage techniques as you explore and experiment with various materials such as paper, ribbon, fabric, buttons, bead and more! 

Jayde was born in Tampa, FL in 1994, and grew up there until she moved to Dade City, a small town north of Tampa, in 2007. She attended USF and received her BFA in Studio Art in 2016. Following graduation, she completed dual artist residencies in Texas, then returned to Florida after landing a position at a public library.

She has exhibited her work in the Tampa Bay Area and beyond and remains engaged in the local arts community through teaching art, exhibiting her work and community art projects. She is currently on exhibition in the Morean Arts Center for Fresh Squeezed 8, 2024. 

Materials needed for Workshop: 

– 8×10″ wood panel
– Mod podge or acrylic matte medium
– Various sizes of flat, synthetic paint brushes
– A variety of collage materials: magazines, old books, ribbon, buttons, art paper, scrapbook paper, newspaper, fabric, etc.
