Ages 5-6

5-6 year olds have the option of either ART Camp (719 Central Ave) or CLAY Camp (420 22nd St S).

Camp is offered in a weekly format (you must register for the entire week). Camp days run from 9am-3pm. 
Extended care is available for an additional fee.
Before Care is available at ART CAMP ONLY starting at 8am. After Care is available at BOTH Art and Clay Camp ending at 5:30pm.

Camp cost includes all materials.

Choose from 10 weeks of fun!

Campers will enjoy a week of art-filled experiences based on weekly themes as well as stories, songs, and games in the self-contained Bank of America Children’s Learning Center. Children will explore various art mediums, such as watercolor, oil pastels, tempera paints, collage, and sculpture in both guided and self-guided experiences.
While final works of art will head home on Fridays, each group will also create a collaborative piece of art that will be displayed in our Summer Camp Exhibition in the Risser Gallery.

Glassblowing Demo: Each Friday, all 5&6 year old campers will have the opportunity to view a glassblowing demonstration
in our very own Hot Shop.

A Pirate’s Life for Me
Ahoy Mateys! Set sail this week and explore the swashbuckling world of pirates! Create a one of a kind ship, learn the origin of the Jolly Roger, explore deserted islands, and find hidden treasure. Join us or walk the plank. Arrrrrrt!!!

CLAY CAMP (Ages 5-6)

Choose from 4 Weeks of Fun! 

Clay Camp for 5-6 year olds is offered on a weekly basis for 4 weeks during Summer 2019 (Week 2, Week 5, Week 7, and Week 9).

Campers will learn to pinch, coil and slab out of clay. There will be lots of storytelling, a bit of acting, and lots of chances to head outside to hop, skip, and jump. Students will take home individual projects at the end of the week. All ages will also help create art for our community.

 

*Please wear sunblock as campers will be outside for part of the day.*

Wacky Wednesday: Dress silly! Wacky hair! Good old-fashioned fun.
