Donna Slawsky Bio

Donna Slawsky moved with her husband to the Gulf Coast in 2011 from Greenwich Village in New York City. They opened a successful restaurant and gallery in the Bradenton Village of the Arts — Arts & Eats Restaurant and Gallery. After living on Anna Maria Island for 10 years, they moved to St. Petersburg.

Donna is passionate about mosaics and loves teaching the art form. Her artwork is inspired by designs on fine china, found objects, stained glass, religion, and the natural world. She loves to create art from broken and objects that might otherwise be discarded. Almost all of her work uses re-purposed materials.

In 2023, Donna won first place in the CraftArt Gallery “Rebels” exhibition with her piece “Say Their Names” and was received Honorable Mention in an exhibit in the Artists Guild of Anna Maria Island Gallery. She has exhibited at the Morean Arts Center, and the Florida CraftArt Gallery, ArtCenter Manatee, and the Artists Guild Gallery on Anna Maria Island. Donna’s Judaica pieces appear in the Florida Holocaust Museum gift shop in downtown St. Petersburg. Web site: soulfulmosaics.com
