Painting your own pottery just got intense! Join us for an exciting clay experience with Nina Samuels. In this two-hour workshop, you’ll be able to take part in glazing and raku firing. Your instructor will supply bisque fired pieces for you to paint your own glaze. While the kiln is heating up, you will learn about the process and prepare the flame pit. Finally, you’ll pull your pieces from the kiln for a fiery finale and take home your two pieces of personalized pottery!

This recurring workshop is perfect for beginners looking to try out pottery, experienced ceramic artists who would like to try raku, or even those visiting St. Pete with limited time.

Each firing is limited to a 6 person capacity. For parties larger than 6, please call the Morean Center for Clay at 727-821-7162 ext. 2311 during our open hours between 10am and 5pm Wednesday through Saturday.

For everyone’s safety, participants MUST wear close-toed-shoes and natural fiber clothing (cotton, linen, etc.). Please note: class is held partially outdoors.

Tuition Refund Policy: Full refund or credit will be issued for any class cancelled by the Morean Arts Center. A $25 processing fee is deducted for all other student refund requests. No refunds will be issued on or after the first day of class.
