Ages 9-16

In this hands-on, creative class, kids become young designers as they explore the world of architecture through, nature, observation, and storytelling. Each week students will become “design detectives”, investigating shapes, Patterns, and structures in the world around them – from tree bark textures to building facades. Using their discoveries as inspiration, they’ll sketch, build, and imagine their own dream spaces, from cozy reading nooks to nature-inspired hideouts.
Through drawing, model-making, and group discission, students will learn how design can tell a story and how nature influences the spaces we create. Whether building with different materials and colors to understand hierarchy or designing a space elevated on popsicle sticks to learn about water resiliency, kids will stretch their creativity while learning the basics of sustainable and thoughtful design.
All abilities and imaginations are welcome!
