Kid’s Clay!

Does your young student want to play with clay?

Have them join us after school for one of our kid’s ceramic art courses.

These classes are divided by age and will occur simultaneously in the handbuilding and wheel rooms respectfully.

Please note that there is NO CLASS or OPEN STUDIO during make up week (Weeks of February 16 and April 6)

Please contact the Morean Center for Clay (727-821-7162 ext. 2311) if your student needs to make up for a missed class

4:30pm – 6:15pm

Ages: 7-11

Max Capacity: 10

Students will be using their imaginations to create hand-built sculptural and functional ceramics. This course is designed to cover a variety of construction techniques and encourages children to let their imaginations out of the box. Weekly demos will help unlock the mystery behind hand-building and help spur new inspirations.

Teens on the Wheel

6 Week Course

Winter 1 (Jan 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb 6, 13)

4:30pm – 6:15pm

Ages: 11-15

Max Capacity: 10

This course is for anyone ages 11-15 that would like to learn how to throw on the wheel. The main focus of this class will be wheel throwing basics , but there will also be opportunities to hand build. Bring a towel along with you!

Non-Members: $230

Members: $180

Important notes for parents/guardians:

There is NO AFTERCARE for this course, students must be picked up within 15 minutes after end of class.

All classwork must be picked up by the end of makeup week.

Reclaimed mid-range cone 6 clay is provided for all students
