Are you an avian enthusiast looking to learn more about an ancient and artistic way of supporting our costal birds? Are you a painter with a love of functional art? Or a lover of the outdoors with a free Saturday? Come out and learn with St. Pete Audubon Society!
Students can expect an informative and engaging talk given by shorebird researchers about how they use decoys to research and manage imperiled species. This will be followed by an opportunity to paint your own decoy, to take home with you.
Speakers: Abby McKay (St. Pete Audubon Secretary & Audubon Florida seabird researcher) and Beth Forys (St. Pete Audubon President & Eckerd College professor).
Class will be held at The Morean Arts Center. 719 Central Ave. St. Pete, FL
