Cynthia Finn Apter was born in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University with a BS and an MS from the University of Michigan. She moved to Florida in 1974 and had ten years of pottery lessons at the Arts Center. An active board member from 1992-99, she served as Building Committee Chair from 1993-1999, 1st Vice President from 1993-94 and Board President from 1994-95.
