Barbara Lewis, author of “Torch-Fired Enamel Jewelry: a Workshop in Painting with Fire,” named the Best Craft Book of 2011 at Amazon, is a popular workshop leader of the unique immersion process of torch-fired enameling. One of the reasons for the popularity of this method is that it eliminates many of the tedious and time-consuming steps required for other methods. As a Thompson Enamel distributor, Barbara has developed some unique color blends and color combinations, which she generously shares in her classes.

Barbara’s work has appeared in numerous magazine publications, including Belle Armoire Jewelry, Handcrafted Jewelry, Bead Trends, etc. She is a featured artist in the best selling book, “Bead Soup: 32 Projects Show What Happens When 26 Beaders Swap Their Stash,” authored by Lori Anderson (Kalmbach). Barbara also demonstrated her unique torch-firing method in the current season of the television program, “Beads, Baubles and Jewels.” Barbara maintains a studio and gallery at 2428 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL (727) 498-6409.
