Discover the beauty and challenges of photographing professional dancers live —under theater lights— in this 2-part workshop with photographers Tom Kramer and Beth Reynolds.

Part 1 will be at Studio 620. Participants will have the rare opportunity of photographing skilled professional dancers at this unique workshop and photo session. Learn how to capture the excitement of dance, work in low light situations with fast moving subjects, and simultaneously expand your own portfolio with beautiful dance images. A good dance photograph is both a fine graphic image and a representation of excellence in dance, technically proficient in the photographic and dance technique.
Take time to edit and process your images, then return for Part 2 at the Morean to have your new dance photographs presented, discussed, and reviewed. A professional dancer will join us to add a dancer’s perspective to the conversation.

Students should be competent in manual mode of their camera.
