Fueled by Fire: Wood Fire Workshop with Dakota Parkinson, Jordan Kramer & Amy Sanders

5-Day Workshop

April 18, 19, 20, 21, 28

9am – 5pm (times vary)

Cost: $450

This wood fire workshop is a hands on wood firing experience. This workshop will give the students the opportunity to participate in an Anagama wood kiln firing from start to finish, led by three, highly experienced Morean artist in residents. The goal of this workshop is to dive into the fun and thrilling community oriented experience of firing a wood kiln. Bring up to 50 bisque fired pots and take some shifts stoking the kiln. Pots MUST be made from a cone 10 clay body. Workshop includes 20 studio glazes and slips. This workshop will also include a mini demo series from your workshop presenters. So come on and join us for a fun filled and fire fueled workshop.

Workshop days will run on different time schedules depending on each day’s plans. 

April 18 at 9am: Glazing day

April 18-19: Load kiln. Start firing evening of the 19th

April 19-21: Kiln firing

April 28: Kiln unloading day!

Tuition Refund Policy: Full refund or credit will be issued for any class cancelled by the Morean Arts Center. A $25 processing fee is deducted for all other student refund requests. No refunds will be issued one week prior to the workshop.
