Do you have a passion for art and love working with kids? The Morean Arts Center and Morean Center for Clay are looking for creative, enthusiastic teachers and volunteers to inspire the next generation of young artists at our Kids Summer Art Camp!

Whether you specialize in painting, sculpture, mixed media, or any other art form, we offer a fun and rewarding opportunity to share your skills while making a lasting impact.

Teaching & Volunteer Opportunities Available

📍 Locations: Morean Arts Center & Morean Center for Clay
🕘 Camp Hours: 9 AM – 3 PM (Monday – Friday)
✅ Lead Teacher Compensation: $600 per week (paid as an independent contractor)
💡 Experience: No teaching license required, but experience in the arts and/or working with kids is preferred.

What to Expect as a Lead Art Camp Teacher:

🔹 Elementary Camp (Grades 1-2 & 3-5):

• Create 3+ art projects inspired by the weekly theme for campers to take home.
• Guide students in a collaborative group project to be displayed in our Children’s Gallery.
• Submit lesson plans by the Friday before the scheduled camp week.
  
  

🔹 Teen Camp (Grades 6-10):

• Design a week-long camp based on a medium of your choice.
• Past themes include Fiber Arts, Paint Pouring, Photography, Mixed Media, and Drawing.
• Submit a short proposal including a description, images, and sample projects for approval.
• Lesson plans due by the Friday before the scheduled camp week.
  
  

🔹 Teacher Responsibilities:

• Arrive 15 minutes early on Mondays for camper check-in and 5 minutes early Tuesday-Friday.
• Foster a creative and inclusive environment.
• Work closely with camp staff and volunteers to ensure a smooth and fun experience for all!
