Join master potter Ken Jensen for a one-day immersive demonstration where clay and music come together. Drawing from decades of experience creating both pottery and functional musical sculpture, Ken will demonstrate how he transforms thrown forms into imaginative instrument-inspired works.  

The day begins at the wheel as Ken demonstrates the foundational forms and techniques used to create his unique ceramic instruments and sculptural vessels. In the afternoon, participants will learn how these individual components are altered, assembled, and brought together into finished pieces full of rhythm. 

To close the day, Ken will perform with a selection of finished ceramic instruments that were created using the same techniques demonstrated throughout the workshop, giving participants the rare opportunity to hear clay come to life through sound. Guests will also have the opportunity to view and purchase a selection of Ken’s ceramic artwork.
