In this workshop, participants will work together to create one-of-a-kind artwork with every person contributing to every drawing. This will be achieved by passing paper from student-to-student, each person adding their own marks to the piece. The process will start with just a swift scribble, before taking on a life of its own to become a finished work.

At the close of the class, a lottery system will determine which piece goes home with which student. Copies can be made if the choice is too difficult.

Artist Bio:

Victoria Ferguson has been doing art for more than 25 years, both as a teacher and for her own enjoyment. Through her work as an elementary and special education teacher of over 40 years, she came to realize that participating in group efforts enhance an individual’s confidence and sense of achievement. Artistic group efforts especially, lead to unexpected and elevated results. Victoria developed the technique utilized in this workshop while she was the caretaker for her mother, and essentially housebound. Hospice workers and family members would contribute scribbles and marks whenever they came by, and Victoria would develop them into works of art to share the next visit. The final products were always a meaningful collaboration and pleasant surprise.
