In this hands-on workshop, Jon Green will teach you advanced glazing and decorating
techniques to elevate your ceramic pottery or sculpture. You’ll learn how to layer glazes using
various resist methods and glaze brushing techniques, expanding your glazing options beyond
traditional dipping.

Day 1 will focus on glazing demos and techniques to enhance your surfaces. Day 2 will continue
with more glaze demos with an emphasis on loading and firing the Downdraft gas kiln at the
Morean Clay Center. On Day 3, you’ll fire the gas downdraft kiln. We unload it two days later,
talk about the results, and clean up the kiln.

Each day will include morning demos, an hour-long lunch break, and open instruction in the
afternoon.
