This hands-on class introduces teens to the fundamentals of digital drawing. We will be using Photoshop, Ibis Paint X and Procreate.  Designed for beginners and curious creatives, this class guides students through essential tools and step-by-step drawing instruction. We encourage creativity, experimentation, and help spark confidence in digital art.

Students will learn how professional illustrators use these programs to create their own character, and bring ideas to life in a fun, supportive environment.  

No prior digital art experience is required.

What Students Will Learn

During this class, students will be guided through Procreate’s core features, including:

• Creating new canvases and understanding different file sizes and resolutions
• Using layers effectively for sketching, coloring, and editing
• Understanding Procreate’s primary tools (brush, eraser, smudge, selection, transform)
• Creating and using color palettes
• Learning how to set things up for comics or one’s animation projects

Apple computers with Adobe Suite
Ibis Paint X
Drawing tablets (they will allow for students to draw on the computer)

Students MUST bring

• Drawing pad with regular pencils
• USB Thumb drive to back up work
