This foundational class builds core drawing skills before students move into digital tools. It’s split into three age tracks so instruction matches developmental level and attention span. We will also go over how to draw favorite characters to keep things flowing.
Elementary (ages 7–10): Introduces basic shapes, line confidence, and simple object/animal drawing through playful, exploratory exercises. Focus is on building comfort with a pencil and encouraging creativity over precision.
Middle School (ages 11–13): Builds on fundamentals with proportion, basic shading/value, simple perspective, and figure basics. Students start developing a personal sketchbook habit.
Teens (ages 14–17): Covers observational drawing, more advanced shading and rendering, composition principles, and intro to anatomy or environment drawing — preparing students who may want to move into digital art or pursue art more seriously.
Elementary Class: Mondays, 5pm – 5:45pm, 6 classes, Drop-in class, single week registration availableÂ
