This is a weekly ongoing class with a strong emphasis on design to introduce and develop successful acrylic paintings for intermediates wishing to start new paintings in acrylics or for experienced artists seeking to expand and build their portfolio.
Class description
Everyone that paints is a unique individual with personal desires and wants in developing themselves as an accomplished artist. I work with each individual artist to discover their strengths and needs. At times artists will work on individual projects or a class assigned project. Each class will begin with individual critique in a class setting to aid in your overall development of design principles, composition, use of color and personal thoughts.
This is an ongoing class with the development of individual artistic skills over time. There may be homework involved to help in your artistic commitment in seeking growth and development.
The following is a list of areas we will explore:
- Work with mixed media
- Build a library of design materials
- Learn skills with brush, palette knife, brayers and scrapers
- Creating self designed papers
- Learn effective use of Molding Pastes, Gels, Pumice, Poly, Varnish, Tar Gel, etc.
