Fusing & Slumping Glass Workshop

WORKSHOP – Beginners/Intermediate
(Held in Glass Fusing Studio in main Morean Arts Center Building, 719 Central Ave)

1 Day Workshop (choose one date or both)

Sunday, February 5, 2017. 12pm-4pm

For a first time student, this hands-on workshop covers the fundamentals of cutting glass, design, setup, fusing, glass compatibility, mold preparation, slumping, using a kiln, firing schedules, annealing times, record-keeping, and safety. There will be numerous examples and demonstrations including the application of powders, frit, stringers, paint, and finishing techniques. Each student will create unique fused and slumped projects.

For experienced students, the instructors will create an individual plan, building on past experience to meet the needs of the student.

If you want to learn about glass fusing and create something beautiful, sign up for one date. If you want to learn how to create more advanced works, sign up for two or more dates. If you have some experience and want to build your knowledge and skills sign up for several dates.
