Join us for a fun and energetic class with Morean Artist-in-Residence, Jon Green. In this class, you will learn the basics of handbuilding with clay from start to finish. The class will focus on creating and designing your own pottery for the table. Each week, Jon will demonstrate creating potter with an emphasis on both decorative and utilitarian elements. Course demonstrations will include cups (with or without handles), bowls, vases, butter boxes, and coffee pour overs. More advanced projects will include pitchers, jars, and cream/sugar sets. Students will gain a basic understanding of how to work in a ceramic studio. All glazes and firings are included in the price of the class. All levels are welcome!
Purchase clay prior to your first class by calling 727-821-7162 ext. 2311 (Wed-Sat 10am-5pm)Â
