In this Basic Figure Drawing class, students will work with different drawing techniques as a way to capture the human form as it is actually seen. Gesture, contour, volume studies, simplified shapes, light/dark pattern, and general proportions will be studies to recreate and describe the model. Students of all levels welcome, but drawing experience is helpful. Advanced students who have been taking figure drawing as an ongoing class may work on individual aspects of figure drawing and I will provide comment, instruction, and suggestions as requested.
