Landscape Painting: The Ocean to the Sky
with Karen Baker
Thursday, November 18
5:30pm – 8:30pm
Let’s gather and create together again!
In this 3-hour workshop students will re-ignite their love of painting while exploring techniques to render gorgeous oceans and skies. Convey your love of nature through patterns, textures and light. Capture the essence of the land with color schemes, dynamic compositions, and gestural strokes.
During this short, affordable workshop, intermediate and advanced students will use the painting medium of their choice to hone their skills and explore possibilities.
Please bring whatever materials you are already accustomed to working with. There is no restriction on the size of your canvas, paper, or painting surface. You should have your own reference photos, color studies, or sketches.
Suggested materials include:
Paints / Colored pencils / Pastels / Watercolors
Canvas, panels, papers
Sketch pad & pencils
Gathering in a small, inspired group, students will feel like they are getting a private lesson, but with the comradery and connection that comes with taking a class at the Morean Arts Center.
The instructor, Karen Baker, is an award-winning landscape and floral artist who has been teaching for over 30 years. Her mission is to help students discover and express their creative “voice” through applied technique and self-exploration.
