Make a Hanging Lamp with Kimberly Vorperian

Enjoy a 3-hour creative exploration into the world of lamp making with Fresh Squeezed 10 artist, Kimberly Vorperian. In this workshop you will design and create a custom 10″-inch diameter hanging lamp, using luxurious and warm mulberry paper and earthy mock-sinew.

Come ready to have fun, doodle and give your fine motor skills a whirl. In this workshop we will be drawing, punching holes, and doing some easy sewing.

No skills required.

Kimberly is a multidisciplinary artist living in St. Pete, FL. Her work is a colorful, haunting and fantastical abstracted interpretation of the relationship between humans, spirituality, and mother nature. 

She has exhibited within Central Florida in local galleries, and has private collectors throughout the United States, England, and Spain. She graduated with her BA in Visual Arts and Experimental Music from New Collage of Florida in 2009. In 2014 she completed an Artist in Residency in Manchester, England. In 2010 she created a successful artisan soap company called Bodhi Basics which she still operates today. Kimberly currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with her partner Will, daughter Ziazan, and dog Loretta. The whole family commutes back and forth to Lakeland where they own and operate their small family farm.
