Create your own collection of unique art papers while exploring a playful mix of painting and printmaking techniques. We’ll discover the magical possibilities of gel plates, transform National Geographic magazine pages, experiment with carved blocks and found objects to print with, and paint directly on a variety of papers-with an emphasis on recycling and repurposing materials.

As your personal collection of papers grows, you’ll explore the expressive properties of collage, learning to combine color, pattern, texture and mark making to create artwork that is uniquely your own. Use your papers to create frame worthy works of art or smaller pieces such as greeting cards and art journals. This is a class of experimentation and discovery.

I consider myself a visual storyteller painter, printmaker, fiber artist and teacher. Since moving to Florida in 2021 I have concentrated on oil painting and mixed media to explore native plants and wildlife, depicting them in oil and various other mediums. I teach locally at Tampa Regional Artists where I serve on the Board and volunteer as teacher liaison, organizing art teachers and their classes at the art center on West Swann in Tampa.Â
