Explore the raku process by seeing 1-2 pieces all the way to a finished product, in one night! Participants are encouraged to bring their own bisque ware but instructor will also provide pre-bisqued cups and bowls for sale at $10/piece. Five different raku glazes will be provided as well as general tips for application while the kiln warms up. For best results, use a white stoneware clay, as porcelain is prone to cracking and red/dark clays will not show much contrast with this technique. These pieces will be heated in the kiln and removed at red-hot temperatures so please avoid pieces with thin walls or insecure joints.
