In this demonstration based workshop, we will cover everything you need to know about using the new screen printing studio at the Morean Center for Clay. We will prepare and burn an image onto a screen and pull prints using underglaze. You will learn how to print directly onto a clay slab as well as how to make and use newsprint transfers.

6 Week Class

This class will cover the process of making screen printed imagery and transferring it onto a clay surface. Using screens and digital positives students will learn how to make their own transfers for ceramic surface decoration. Most demonstrations will focus on the printing and transfer process. A small amount of ceramic experience is required for this class. Unsure if you’re up for it? Please feel free to reach out with questions about the course!
