Class Summary:
In this 6-week Storyboard class, students will learn how to plan and create their own stories from start to finish. We’ll begin with the basics of scripting, where students will develop ideas and write a short story. Once the story is set, we’ll move on to making thumbnails—small sketches that help map out the story’s flow and key moments.
Next, students will expand their thumbnails into detailed storyboards, focusing on shot composition, character placement, and scene transitions. By the end of the course, students will bring everything together in an animatic—a rough animation that combines their storyboard and script to give life to their story. This course is designed to help students turn their ideas into a visual storytelling project step-by-step.
