Summer Photo Assignments
with Beth Reynolds

Wednesdays, 6 classes
6pm – 8:30pm

Skill Level: Intermediate

Offered for:
Summer Session 1 (June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11 & 18)
Summer Session 2 (July 25, Aug 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29)

With the long light of summer, we will trek to a range of locations to work on improving composition, finding new inspiration and building a summer portfolio. Of this 6-week course, weeks 1, 2, 4 & 5 are in the field, weeks 3 & 6 are critique nights in the classroom. I will work with the students in the field to guide your ideas and to help with camera settings and composition.

To each class in the field, students should bring a range of lenses, tripod, flash, and ideas. Locations for the first two weeks will be emailed to you ahead of time.

Photographers of all levels are encouraged to take this class. (You must have your own gear, listed above.)

Instructor Profile

Beth Reynolds - Photo by Joyce Skowyra

I began photographing for my school newspaper in the 9th grade. Being a photojournalist has been my passion for nearly 30 years. In 1995 I received my MFA in photography from The Hartford Art School.

In 2003, I was selected to be the first Photographer Laureate for the city of Tampa. I love teaching as much as taking photographs and have been combining these loves for over 20 years. Currently I am the Director of Photography at the Morean Arts Center.
