Winter Session 2 (March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and April 7)
Manual exposure is where it is at for creativity! During this class, you’ll take the camera off the program mode and discover the power of aperture, shutter and ISO for controlling composition and light. Learn your light meter and how to add impact to your photographs. Seeing light, lens choices and composition will be covered. Through weekly lecture, assignments and review of work you will gain a better understanding of the power of the camera.
Basic knowledge of your camera/computer is needed! Bring your DSLR camera and camera manual to class.
I began photographing for my school newspaper in the 9th grade. Being a photojournalist has been my passion for nearly 30 years. In 1995 I received my MFA in photography from The Hartford Art School.
In 2003, I was selected to be the first Photographer Laureate for the city of Tampa. I love teaching as much as taking photographs and have been combining these loves for over 20 years. Currently I am the Director of Photography at the Morean Arts Center.
