Spring Session

(April 16th, 23rd, 30th, May 7th, 14th, 21st)

A calm, three-hour, six-week studio lab where imagination leads and practical technique follows, designed for makers of every experience level. Absolutely no prior experience is required.

Students work on personal projects while learning approachable hand building methods such as pinching, coiling, slab forming, and simple temporary paper-core support techniques for building larger, lightweight shapes.

Week One offers an optional fun sculptural Totem Spoon starter that teaches slab control, hollowing, seam joining, and personalized surface motifs while guaranteeing weekly studio time for each student’s independent work.

Instruction is patient and hands-on with targeted demos and individualized coaching in a no-stress, laughter-friendly studio.

  •  Skills covered: slab rolling and thickness control; score-and-slip joining; paper-core paper-core support method and safe hollowing; texture and underglaze application.
  •  Skill level: All levels welcome.
