This action packed, weekly for three weeks, hands on workshop with Tracy Gamble will focus on proper application of AMACO’s latest cone 5/6 – glaze products. (Potter’s Choice, Celadon, Satin Matte and Shino). This hands-on workshop will not include working with wet clay. BRING BISQUE FIRED POTS! Small pot test creations to experiment on with the latest products by AMACO (American Art Clay Company, Inc.) cone 5/6 glazes. Tracy is delighted to share tips and techniques for applying, combining, accenting and testing with these glazes. Glazes will be provided by AMACO. The plan is to fire our tests and experiments in the kilns, on site, each week. Bring your favorite sketch book, glaze brushes and your sense of adventure!
In addition the final week of the workshop we will be joined by David Gamble! David will share is wealth of knowledge about SKUTT kilns. In addition, David will also provide you with the insight of making your own brushes! That’s right we will also be making brushes for this workshop. Making your own brush leaves a truly unique mark on a pot, get ready to make yours. Space is limited so be sure to get your spot for this wonderful workshop.
Registering for a particular week set (Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursday) will not exclude any described material above. Therefore please register for the days convenient to you.
Upon registering for this workshop please come in during our hours of operation. For this workshop, we have been provided with clay by AMACO that Tracy prefers you to create work with. You are still more than welcome to bring bisque ware you have already created for this workshop.
