Collect Your Thoughts

Local creatives Steph Hargrove and Rose Cervantes recently teamed up to create an engaging community art journaling project called “Collect Your Thoughts.”

Collect Your Thoughts was designed to improve mental health in adults who may feel overwhelmed and overworked—all through an art lens. Steph and Rose distributed 100 art boxes filled with supplies and a workbook they wrote to help participants establish an art journaling practice to improve their well-being.

According to Steph and Rose, “It’s not easy to collect all your thoughts if your brain is overloaded and overworked. Collect Your Thoughts (CYT) is an art journaling program created for adults who deserve a tool that is proven to help self-soothe, self-regulate and de-stress.”

The exhibition showcases the thoughts and ideas behind the project, as well as framed prints of some of the participants’ work.
