This exhibition will showcase four St. Petersburg-based ceramic artists working with a similar process in clay called extruding. The show opens April 10^th in the large gallery at the Morean Center for Clay, and runs through the month of May, closing May 31^st.

You may be familiar with the process as you probably did it with play-dough as a child! Remember that little contraption that would squeeze out play dough like strings of spaghetti? If so, you were extruding! These four artists have taken that same exact technique and used it to explore their own concepts and methods of making through the medium of clay. From functional vessels to large extruded sculptures, this exhibition will show how clay can be pushed to its physical limits.
