More Art More Creativity More Experiences More Engagement More Impact

“My time with the Morean Arts Center started in 2009 when I moved to St. Petersburg to be an Artist-In-Residence at the St. Petersburg Clay Company. The Morean was a great introduction into what local artists were doing and educational opportunities. “Over time I became more involved in teaching adults and summer camp at the Morean Center for Clay, and my wife Melissa Yungbluth was hired as Assistant Curator of Exhibitions. As my residency ended, I had the opportunity to purchase SPCC with Matt Schiemann and started many collaborations with the MCC until we merged in the spring of 2014. I then became the Studio Manager for the MCC for three years. “Some of my fondest memories in St. Pete are thanks to the Morean and the opportunities it provides for youths, adults, artists, art appreciators, and everyone in between.”
