More Art More Creativity More Experiences More Engagement More Impact

A Central Florida resident since 1970, self-taught artist Carl Knickerbocker began making art in 1984. He calls his painting style “Suburban Primitive.” Video art has been his preoccupation these past few years. A frequent exhibitor in the area, he earned a Florida Individual Artist Fellowship Grant in 1995. Carl participated in a small group show called Debate, which was the first exhibition in the Arts Center’s new gallery space at the Central Avenue location. He also participated in Orange State, curated by Kathy Gibson in 2016.
