A long-time local artist, Rachel has the distinction of being the last artist to mount a solo exhibition in the old 7th Street South building, in 1996. “I started working at the Arts Center in 2000 as a receptionist. After two years of getting to know the operation I was hired as the assistant curator of exhibitions. I worked at the Arts Center for six years, surrounded by an enthusiastic staff, a dynamic director and curator. Together we developed an exciting vision for the development of the Arts Center. During that time I also taught a stone sculpture class. It was truly a rewarding experience. I have continued to be part of the now Morean Arts Center as a member and art instructor.”
